Cassidy’s no-hitter leads the Titans past East.

Twenty-one batters couldn’t locate Drew Cassidy as Cassidy threw a no-hitter on Wednesday, in the Notre Dame Titans’ 5-0 victory over East.

No East batter was able to locate Cassidy’s pitches during the game. Cassidy threw a no-hitter, striking out 14 batters and walking four while recording his momentous feat. He got Kritzwiser to strike out for the final out of the game.

Chase Rodriguez put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Notre Dame Titans. He doubled in the fourth and sixth innings.

Brown ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed five runs.

The Notre Dame Titans went up for good in the second, scoring one run on an RBI single by Sam Kayser.

The Notre Dame Titans pushed one more run across in the bottom of the fourth when Rodriguez stole home.

The Notre Dame Titans added three more runs in the bottom of the sixth. The inning got off to a hot start when Rodriguez doubled, scoring Tyler Speas. That was followed up by Cameron Rodriguez’s single, bringing home Rodriguez.
