The Notre Dame Titans use big fifth inning to beat Clay, 10-0.

An eight-run explosion in the fifth inning led the Notre Dame Titans to a 10-0 win in five innings over Clay at Notre Dame High School on Monday.

The Notre Dame Titans scored in the fifth on an RBI single by Tyler Speas, a walk by Cameron Rodriguez, a two-run single by Hash, a walk by Drew Cassidy, a walk by Hayden Baker, and a walk by Speas.

Speas racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Notre Dame Titans.

The Notre Dame Titans’ Baker kept Clay off the scoreboard for all five innings when he was on the rubber. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on three hits while ringing up seven.

The game was never in doubt after the first, as the Notre Dame Titans scored two runs on two singles.
