Notre Dame High School and Athletics Association are please to announce the hiring of long time assistant coach Tiny Anderson as the new head varsity basketball coach of Notre Dame High School.

“I feel honored to be selected as the new boys basketball coach. Coach Mader has done a wonderful job building Notre Dame Basketball and for him to give me that opportunity speaks volume on the trust he has in me.” Anderson said.

Tiny Anderson is a high school graduate of Valley High School, where he played on two SOC basketball championship teams.

Coach Anderson graduated from Shawnee State with a degree in History. Anderson brings 3 years of junior high coaching experience along with 6 yrs of boys junior varsity coaching experience including 1 year as varsity assistant back to Notre Dame. “I’ve been around the basketball program since I was the team ball boy when I was younger, all the way to playing junior high basketball for Notre Dame, and finally coming back to coach under Coach Mader. So seeing where the program was, to where it is now, makes me want to work harder to keep the program alive. The transition for the kids should be a lot easier since I have been in the system and know what has made us successful.” Anderson commented.

Coach Mader leaves after his seventh year as head coach, but remains the schools’ athletic director.
