Titan boy’s dominate East on the road, 77-59

Notre Dame’s boy’s basketball team made the short trip to Sciotoville East Tuesday night for a conference rivalry matchup, and was treated to a big conference win.

Trevon Turner and Sam Kayser were both playing on a different level as they lead the team in scoring with 23 points (Turner) and 14 points (Kayser) to help the Titans defeat East and take sole possession of second place in conference play at the half way point.

In what was expected to be a back and forth game, Notre Dame would start the game off with a three point field goal from Tyler Speas and never looked back. Notre Dame would continue its’ pace and lead the East Tartans 21-8 at the end of one quarter of play. The second quarter would tighten up but the scoring didn’t seem to stop. The 2nd half would see similar results, as Coach Anderson’s Titans continued to play at a high pace and extended their lead to 15 after three quarters of regulation.

But East would not go quietly as Akia Brown and Blaine Scott attempted to bring the Tartans back into the game, closing the gap down to 9 points, but couldn’t get any closer.

Notre Dame would not be denied and after multiple technical fouls accessed to the East Tartans’ team, Notre Dame’s Aaron Bazler would help extend the lead and final score of 77-59.

At the end of the buzzer, all 8 Notre Dame players that saw the court scored, with four in double digits, including a season high 77 points scored.
