Turner scores his 1000th point in victory over Ironton St. Joe

In what turned out to be a night that Trevon Turner would never forget, the Titans found themselves fighting for the lead the whole night. Notre Dame would lead at the beginning of the game 2-0 but wouldn’t see the lead again until the 3:00 minute mark in the 4th quarter.

Titans Sam Kayser would get a steal that would help turn the tables and end up taking the lead and hold on to win Tuesday night at Ironton St. Joe.

Turner would hit the 1000 point scoring mark early in the game and was met with a standing ovation by the crowd, but then it was back to business for Turner and the Titans as they continued to play catch up.

Ironton St. Joe started the first half strong but was held to just 10 points in the 2nd half with better defense and pressure by Coach Anderson’s Titans. In the end, Notre Dame would escape Ironton with a victory, pushing their overall record to 13-6.

Trevon is believed to be the only player in Notre Dame Boy’s Basketball history to hit the 1000 mark, making him the all-time leading scorer in boy’s history.

Notre Dame will host Eastern Friday night in an SOC 1 rivalry game that found the Titans coming up just short in their first meeting at Eastern earlier in the season.

Homecoming is schedule to take place between the junior varsity and varsity game, tip-off scheduled for 7:15pm approximately.
